APS Professional development webinars
The APS delivers webinars regularly as a convenient way for psychologists to keep abreast of topical issues, whilst also accumulating CPD hours.
A webinar is an engaging educational online event, where a speaker or a small group of speakers, deliver a presentation, lecture, or workshop via PowerPoint to a large audience. The audience is engaged with the content mainly by submitting questions, responding to polls, or small group discussions. Webinars are held live, allowing the audience to ask the presenter questions and receive answers in real time.
Webinars include:
- access to presenters, who are subject matter experts,
- content based on current peer-reviewed research,
- interaction with the presenter and facilitator, through questions and interactive activities such as polls,
- downloadable resources (where applicable),
- a certificate of completion confirming CPD hours (where applicable), and
- 12 months access to the recorded webinar, from the date of confirmed registration (where applicable).
