About the presenter(s)

Prof Emily Holmes (University of Uppsala, Sweden) is the recipient of several international awards, including from the American Psychological Association, and is a Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Arts UK in 2023. She has a core interest in mental health science, and the translation of basic findings to create innovations to improve psychological treatments.

Prof Reg Nixon (Flinders University) is the Director of the Flinders Posttraumatic Stress Clinic and has been involved in the research and treatment of PTSD and its co-occurring problems for over 26 years. He was the first Australian to be accredited with Trainer status for Cognitive Processing Therapy and leads the Protecting Emergency Responders with Evidence-Based Interventions project.

Prof Meaghan O'Donnell (University of Melbourne) is the Head of Research at Phoenix Australia, and has published over 180 peer reviewed articles in the area of posttraumatic mental health and is a past president of the ISTSS. Her major areas of research include early interventions after trauma exposure, phenomenology of traumatic stress responses, and development of new treatments for PTSD.

Assoc Prof Christopher Lee (University of Western Australia) is an EMDRAA Accredited Trainer and well known for his research into the treatment of PTSD and personality disorders. He has received awards from the ISTSS, EMDR International Association and received the Australian Psychological Society’s Ian Campbell memorial award for contributions to Clinical Psychology in Australia.
