The NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee is reviewing a range of supports to make sure they are safe, suitable and cost-effective for people with disability. The committee is seeking input from providers (including psychologists) as well as the broader disability community, to help inform its advice to government.
Consultation is now open for the following supports that will be reviewed by the committee:
- early intensive behavioural interventions
- positive behaviour support for older children and adults
- social skills training as a disability support for children and young people.
- robot-assisted gait training
We encourage members to share feedback to help inform the committee’s advice to government to improve outcomes for NDIS participants.
The APS is committed to the NDIS aims of providing reasonable and necessary supports that enable people with disability to pursue their goals, live independently, and participate fully in their communities.
We continue to advocate for a fit-for-purpose NDIS, improved access to psychological services, and funding settings that properly reflect the value of early, evidence-based supports.
Thank you to our members for your ongoing contributions and support in strengthening the role of psychologists in the NDIS. By generously sharing your experience and expertise, you play a vital role in enhancing supports and outcomes for participants and their families.
Public consultation is now open until 11:59 pm AEDT on 29 March 2026. Share your thoughts with the NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee by filling out a survey or making a submission. For more information and accessible resources, visit the consultation page.
