Submission guidelines

Submissions can be made to [email protected]

  • InPsych does not accept for publication articles that have been published elsewhere.
  • All items must comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Submissions should be written in a conversational style that will engage the reader, similar to what you would expect to read in a quality weekend newspaper magazine or The Conversation (the online website that publishes academic and research articles), but written specifically for psychologists. One important aim of the publication for example is to translate research into accessible language that can be understood by a wider audience.
  • While articles must be empirically based, the number of references for all types of submissions must be kept to a minimum (up to 10) and these will only appear in the online version.
  • Where appropriate we welcome the submission of images and photos (for which the author has the rights to use) to be considered for inclusion in the article. These should be submitted as a jpg file at 300 dpi format.
  • Authors will be required to complete a copyright form assigning copyright of the article to the APS.
