Understanding spirituality/religiosity in Australian psychology practice: A mixed-methods study of integration, competence, and training needs

Closes 25 November 2026

What is this project about?

This research explores how psychologists and provisional psychologists in Australia understand and integrate spirituality and/or religiosity in psychological practice. It aims to examine current approaches, perceived competence, and training needs in this area. The findings may help inform future training and professional development relating to spiritual and religious competence in psychology practice.

This project is being conducted by researchers at The University of Queensland as part of an Honours research project.

What does participation involve?
