Closes 4 June 2029
What is this project about?
Life changes in adulthood can be challenging - physically, mentally, and socially. During this time, some people experience increased vulnerability to suicidal thoughts. Strong connection and belonging can help protect people, and sport may be one environment where these strengths develop.
Who can participate?
We’re inviting adults 18+, whether you play sport or not, to help us explore how sport might support suicide prevention.
What does participation involve?
This is a 10–15 minute online survey that includes questions about:
• Whether you participate in sport
• Your wellbeing
• Any suicidal thoughts or feelings
• Your sense of belonging, connection, and burdensomeness
• Your level of hope
Your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time during data collection without penalty or needing to provide a reason.
