Research suggests that perfectionism is a notable risk and maintenance factor in a variety of mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. It has also been found that obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), which shares marked similarities with perfectionism, is the most common personality disorder and is also associated with negative outcomes such as burnout.
This study aims to better understand how obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD) and perfectionism are handled and thought about in a clinical settings. It also will collect information on participants more general perspectives on perfectionism and OCPD.
Participation in this study involves a completely anonymous survey that will take approximately 10 minutes. There is also the option to complete a follow-up interview to share any more in-depth thoughts.
This study is being completed as part of a PhD project.
