What is the study about?
This study explores psychosocial safety risks in postgraduate psychology placements in Australia. The study aims to identify and prioritise key psychosocial safety risks across different placement stakeholder groups, with the goal of informing future placement preparation, support processes, and training programs.
Who can participate?
We are seeking participants from three stakeholder groups; postgraduate psychology students, placement supervisors, and course directors or equivalent staff involved in postgraduate psychology placements in Australia.
What does participation involve?
The study uses a three-round Delphi methodology. Round 1 involves a confidential semi-structured interview and/or open-ended survey about participants’ experiences and perspectives on psychosocial safety risks in placements. Rounds 2 and 3 involve online surveys where participants will review and rate risks identified in Round 1. Participation will help develop a prioritised list of psychosocial safety risks in postgraduate psychology placements.
