What is this study about?
We would like to formally invite you to take part in our research study which aims to develop consensus-based statements for the safe and efficacious inclusion of yoga in psychological practice.
What does this study involve?
If you agree to take part, you will be asked to be involved in a three-round online Delphi study, comprising of one online interview and two survey rounds. A Delphi study is a way of gathering expert opinions to reach agreement on a topic where there may not be clear answers yet. The online interview will seek to understand your views on integrating yoga in psychological practice. The second rounds will invite you to complete a survey in which you will be asked to rate the importance of different considerations when implementing yoga in psychological practice. The three rounds will be conducted 6-8 weeks apart. The first interview round is expected to take approximately 1-1.5 hours. The round 2 survey is expected to take up to 30 minutes to complete. The round 3 survey is expected to be considerably shorter (up to 20 minutes).
Who is eligible to participate?
You may participate in this study if you are a registered psychologist with a minimum of 10 years clinical experience post-registration.
This study will involve two stakeholder groups: 1) Psychologists with yoga expertise (either at least 500 hours of formal yoga training or pubished research in yoga and mental health) and 2) Psychologists without yoga expertise.
