What is this study about?
The study aims to better understand how psychologists can be supported to respond to clients who use or are considering psilocybin (“magic mushrooms”) in naturalistic (non-clinical) settings. Your participation will contribute to the development of evidence informed resources for the psychology profession.
Who is eligible to participate?
You are eligible to participate if you:
• Are an AHPRA registered psychologist currently practicing in Australia;
• Do not have prior experience working in psilocybin clinical trials either in Australia or internationally
What does participation involve?
• Completion of a brief anonymous online questionnaire regarding your attitudes, knowledge and confidence towards working with clients who seek information regarding psilocybin use (approximately 15 minutes)
• Undertaking a self-paced online learning module on psilocybin harm reduction (approximately 60 minutes)
• Completing a short follow up questionnaire after the module (10 minutes)
• Total time commitment is approximately 1.5 hours
Upon completion of the study, participants will receive a certificate documenting 1.5 hours of CPD which may be used towards your professional CPD requirements
Your responses will remain anonymous, and all data kept securely in accordance with HREC data management requirements. This study has been approved by JCU Ethics committee, HREC approval No 26H-0144
