The Consumer Psychology Interest Group (CPIG) is a group of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) that was launched in 2016. We are committed to growing the understanding and application of consumer psychology theories, models, principles and practices.
CPIG comprises members from the field of psychology, as well as members from a wide range of other disciplines including; marketing, market research, economics, management, sociology and anthropology.
Our aims are to:
- provide a central point of contact for all those interested in consumer psychology
- be a forum to inspire, network, share ideas and research
- champion and promote consumer psychology in the community
- advocate for ethical and transparent consumer psychology practices.
Members of the CPIG do not need to be members of the APS. All members are welcome to attend CPIG events and become actively involved with the group through the wide range of channels that we engage.
