Douglas is a warm and compassionate psychologist, who is passionate about helping people to understand the impact of their past, and work towards a happier and healthier future.
Doug completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Australian Catholic University, and is undertaking the registrar program for endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. He has presented at international and domestic conferences, and his research has focused on health psychology, exposure to trauma in the workplace, and sexual satisfaction.
Doug has worked in hospital and community settings, supporting clients in managing intense emotions, addictive behaviours, and interpersonal difficulties. He has also worked with clients facing serious illness and end-of-life concerns. Doug�s uses a trauma-informed approach drawing from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
