I am a clinical psychologist working with clients experiencing difficulties with anxiety, mood, managing emotions, coping with stress, or dealing with conflict in relationships or using ways of coping that create problems. I enjoy working with clients to increase understanding of how they got to where they are now, reducing suffering, building skills, developing goals and meaning, and creating a more coherent story of their lives. Clients often come in crisis, when they have struggled for a long time, but generally continue treatment long after crisis has resolved to work on creating a fuller, better and more meaningful life. I enjoy developing a deeper therapeutic relationship with clients and working long-term.
I have special interest in problems with emotions (either difficulty containing emotion or difficulty feeling emotion) and self-destructive behaviours (self-harm, addictions, people with parenting and relationship difficulties.
