Delaney is a senior registered psychologist with a special interest in LGBTIQ+, culturally and linguistically diverse, and Indigenous peoples, as well as clients in the aviation sector.
Delaney uses a semi-structured approach and is passionate about working with clients so that they can explore, reflect, and grow.
Delaney has been working in therapeutic roles for over ten years. He also previously worked in suicide prevention research in relation to LGBTIQ+ as well as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Delaney is accredited in Aboriginal mental health assessment.
Delaney also has a background in applied linguistics. He loves foreign languages and puts them to good use in international travel. He has written dissertations on language policy and autobiographical memory in bilingual people.
Delaney has a special interest in medical anthropology, especially the ways in which mental health issues are experienced and expressed differently across cultures.
