My therapeutic philosophy centres around understanding how relational dynamics contribute to common client concerns. My therapy is compassionate, individualised, and guided by an interest in exploring how our past experiences shape our present-day concerns, paying close attention to the varied and subtle ways this can occur.
I primarily draw upon psychodynamic and schema therapy approaches to help clients build a detailed and nuanced understanding of their relational selves.
I have a wealth of experience working in public mental health settings, as well as in private practice, and has particular experience working with LGBTQIA+ clients.
I work with: trauma, attachment issues, emotion regulation, self-esteem, life transitions, substance-related issues, family and relationship concerns, mood and anxiety concerns, sexuality exploration/identification, body image, cultural identity, grief/loss, fertility/IVF/surrogacy, and adjustment-related issues.
