Laini is a registered psychologist with a special interest in all eating disorders, including avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), as well as body image concerns. This also includes working with people pre and post-bariatric surgery. Laini sees clients over the lifespan from children to older adults, most commonly works with adolescents and young adults.
Laini has a kind, gentle nature, and prides herself on providing evidence-based treatments to individuals and families affected by eating disorders in a compassionate, supportive, and collaborative environment that fosters strong rapport and trust. She encourages and promotes treatment in the presence of a multidisciplinary team, maintaining a safe environment for clients. Laini also treats clients with anxiety, panic disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, lifestyle changes/adjustment disorder, low self-esteem, stress, poor body image, PTSD and specific phobias.
