I have special interests and experience in working with mood and anxiety difficulties, suicidality, trauma, identity, and existential concerns, including illness and fear of death. My clinical research has centred around best practices for engaging men in psychotherapy.
I draw from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy to explore why certain parts of ourselves react in ways that may be distressing, how to approach these parts with compassion and curiosity, and how a better understanding of our biology, environment, and personal history can provide a platform for growth
