Dr Sharelle Smith is the Principal Clinical Psychologist and Director of the Lightner Centre. Sharelle has completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), a Master of Clinical Psychology, and a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology at Bond University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) at Monash University.
Sharelle has a special interest in the treatment of complex trauma and the facilitation of trauma recovery and has completed additional training in trauma-focused interventions including Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
Sharelle has a background in organisational management, has held teaching positions at Bond University, has successfully published research outcomes, and is a Psychology Board of Australia, board-approved and registrar program principal supervisor.
