Emily's therapeutic approach is primarily person-centred, creating a non-judgemental therapeutic space where individuals can feel empowered to make change. She uses evidence-based practice tailored to the needs of each individual client. She utilises multiple therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and schema therapy, with elements of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), and attachment-based therapy (ABT). She is also trained in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
