Jim is a registered Clinical Psychologist and has worked in private practice for the last eight years. During this time he has worked with a wide variety of clients and issues.
Jim will always attempt to provide you with a professional, relaxed, warm, authentic, and engaging therapeutic experience. Even sharing a little humour (when appropriate) is not out of the question!
Jim's therapy approach includes: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (teaching skills to help you to change your life). He also uses Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (learning to use your emotions effectively, and examining how our working relationship can be used to help you to grow). Jim also has a strong personal and professional interest in mindfulness practices.
