I have been practising as a psychologist for over 10 years. I started my career working at St John of God private hospital. I then moved to public health, working at the Children's Hospital Westmead for over 6 years. I have presented at international conferences and state-wide training events. I have worked in a number of different private practices, and I currently operate my own practice in North Parramatta.
I have trained in a variety of models of therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and family therapy. I am most interested in adopting a psychodynamic approach to treatment. My aim is to help people to know themselves and improve their sense of connectedness with others, in part by providing an engaged and reflective therapeutic relationship. I believe that this approach offers the potential of deeper and more enduring change than merely skills and coping strategies.
