Kate is a clinical psychologist with a warm, empathic, and genuine approach. She works collaboratively with people to resolve the issues that brought them to therapy and to empower them as agents in their lives. She works with adults and adolescents providing longer term psychotherapy, as well as brief interventions.
Kate has a special interest in trauma and addictions, and skills in working with a wide range of mental health presentations. Kate has worked in private practice since 2018. She has also worked in a range of public health services including an inpatient mental health service, an adolescent drug and alcohol service, and a custodial rehabilitation service. In addition, Kate has several publications in the addiction field.
Kate is also a meditation teacher influenced by the Vipassana (insight) tradition. She has travelled overseas to complete 10-day silent meditation retreats and completed her qualification in mindfulness teaching.
