Dr Melissa Straiton started her psychology training at the Australian National University before continuing on to complete a Doctor of Clinical Psychology and Masters of Science at the University of Sydney. She has training and experience in a wide range of established therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). Melissa has worked with both children and adults, including conducting research into childhood behavioural problems. Melissa has a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders, and complex and chronic cases.
