Dr Sturrock is a clinical psychologist who works in private practice in Melbourne, Australia. She completed her undergraduate psychology degrees at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and her clinical doctorate at Deakin University. Her doctoral thesis focussed on testing the theory behind a popular cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) for Borderline Personality Disorder (i.e., Dialectical Behaviour Therapy � Linehan, 1993), and she has published in this area. Dr Sturrock is a scientist-practitioner who has over 20-years of experience working and studying in the area of mental health. She has been trained in various forms of psychological therapy, with a strong influence on the provision of CBT. She works mostly with young people aged 15-25, but also works as a Research Fellow in health-related issues. Her research work has guided her expertise in the treatment of older persons with chronic health conditions, vision impairment, and blindness.
