Julie-Anne's treatment approach is biopsychosocial in nature. She has a strong emphasis on unconditional self-acceptance and offers a warm, safe, non-judgemental environment for her clients. She works collaboratively with people to help them find solutions to their issues.
She has trained extensively in evidence-based treatments, including CBT and EMDR, but draws on many other therapies to help her clients move forward. She is very down-to-earth in her approach and has over 20 years experience treating people who have experienced or witnessed trauma from abuse, violence, war, torture, accidents, or natural disasters. She has a special interest in helping emergency service workers and military personnel.
Julie-Anne is a Medicare, DVA, TAC, WorkSafe, Victims of Crime, and Private Health Insurance Provider. She has a current Working with Children's Check and is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists and a member of the APS Military and Emergency Services Interest Group.
