Melanie is a clinical psychologist with over 25 years' experience working in public mental health (including adult and youth mental health and eating disorders) and private practice. She has a special interest in providing assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders such as panic disorder, specific phobias, social anxiety disorder, and generalised anxiety disorder; and other anxiety-related issues such as obsessive compulsive disorder and body dysmorphic disorder. Melanie has experience treating complex cases. She primarily uses Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but depending on the individual presentation can offer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy informed practice, or Schema Therapy. Melanie is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the APS College of Clinical Psychologists, and the Australian Association of Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT).
