Dr Elizabeth Short is a clinical and community psychologist with over 30 years experience, assisting people who've experienced loss, discrimination, and/or trauma, and with the full range of issues. With Medicare, she is a provider of services in relation to pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. She works with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, including refugee, Indigenous, and LGBTQIA+. Her approach is attachment-aware, trauma-informed, systemic, strengths-based, and respectful.
Elizabeth is experienced in the public and private sectors, including in community mental health, victim/survivor and workplace services, cancer care, and university counselling. She is also an experienced researcher, trainer, and lecturer, and taught for 12 years at the highest (masters and doctorate) level. She is a supervisor and Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychology and of Community Psychology, and an endorsed Clinical and Community Psychologist and supervisor with AHPRA.
