Dr Armstrong has more than 18 years� experience assessing and treating a wide variety of psychological conditions. She is most passionate about working with trauma (including complex trauma) and victimisation, emotional regulation (depression and anxiety), relationships difficulties, communication/assertiveness training, infertility, peri-natal issues (inc. birth trauma and early parenthood challenges), substance abuse, and offending behaviour. Janelle works from a neurodiversity affirming approach and is proficient in a wide variety of evidence-based therapies although primarily utilises Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (she is an EMDR Accredited Practitioner). Dr Armstrong also has extensive experience in risk assessment and treatment of those who have engaged in violent (including family violence) and sexual offending. She is also recognised as highly skilled in completing court reports and providing expert evidence.
