Having worked in the public mental health system for a number of years, Lorren's expertise lies within the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults presenting with a broad range of issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, past trauma, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, non-suicidal self-injury, adolescent issues and parenting concerns.
Lorren uses a client- centred and non-judgmental approach to promote a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy in her clients. Along with evidence based treatment strategies, her work focuses on creating nurturing relationships, and fostering meaningful insight to produce lasting therapeutic change. She offers individualised treatment plans, utilising a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Circle of Security and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed care.
