I am a clinical psychologist who mainly treats anxiety and mood disorders. I work with clients across the lifespan: children, adolescents and adults. My particular interests are social phobia, parenting, peri-natal issues and working with Seniors.
My philosophy is that the process of therapy is a collaborative one. I assist my clients by providing skills, a listening ear and sometimes an alternative perspective but the client is always the expert in his/her own life.
My training is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy but I also utilise other approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and where appropriate a dash of humour.
I welcome diversity including clients from the LGBTQI Communities.
I feel privileged to bear witness to my client's lives and to be able to support people during periods of difficulty or stress.
