Dr Stephen Tang is a Canberra-based clinical psychologist offering in-person and telehealth video consultations.

Stephen's approach to therapy is grounded in curiosity and deep understanding, balanced with playfulness and intelligence. He offers therapy for adults and young adults, practising primarily from a relational psychodynamic approach. This means that the aim of therapy is to help you grow in vitality, self-cohesion, hope and connection through an empathic and creative therapeutic relationship.

Stephen also offers Therapeutic Assessment (TA) sessions, which involves collaboratively selecting and using a tailored selection of psychological assessments to provide you with greater insight and understanding into specific questions and concerns.

Stephen has a PhD (Clinical Psychology) from the ANU. In addition to his practice as a psychologist, he has more than a decade of experience working in research, legal, policy and consultancy roles in the public and private sectors.
