Dr Aleks founded his practice in Bulimba in 2017, following a diverse career in public mental health, community, and hospital settings. He has held various clinical, research, and senior positions, with a particular focus on PTSD and burnout. His doctoral thesis, which explored the assessment and management of suicide risk, has led him to present seminars on related topics. He has extensive experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. With a wealth of experience in providing therapy to men, women, and youth, his areas of interest include trauma, burnout, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, stress, role transitions, and offering neuroaffirming treatment. Dr Aleks is known for his warm and compassionate approach to the therapeutic relationship and is dedicated to offering individualised treatments tailored to his clients' unique needs and circumstances.
