Dr Aleks established his practice in Bulimba in 2017, drawing on a diverse career in public mental health, community, and hospital settings. He has held various clinical, research, and senior roles, with a focus on PTSD and burnout. His doctoral thesis, which explored assessing and managing suicide risk, has led him to present seminars on related topics. He has extensive experience delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. With a broad range of experience providing therapy to men, women, and youth, his areas of interest include trauma, burnout, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, role transitions, and offering neuroaffirming treatments. Dr Aleks is known for his warm and compassionate approach to therapy, and he is dedicated to providing individualised treatments tailored to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
