Dr Kathryn (Kath) Moores has worked since 2011 with people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Dr Moores has provided Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) both in Community Mental Health Services and the state-wide service BPD Collaborative. Dr Moores has undergone intensive training in the DBT Prolonged Exposure (DBT PE) Protocol and has completed basic training in EMDR. Dr Moores is a trainer in Good Psychiatric Management (GPM).
Dr Moores was involved in research investigating neurobiological abnormalities in PTSD using functional neuroimaging (fMRI) and electrophysiological (EEG) measures. Dr Moores was awarded a PhD for this work in 2005 and has published research in this area.
Dr Moores has delivered education and training in the areas of PTSD, Dissociative Disorders and Personality Disorders in University postgraduate Clinical Psychology programs and SAPOL and the DPP.
