Dr Leander Mitchell (FAPS) is a Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Neuropsychologist whose practice focuses on therapy and neuropsychological assessment with older adults in particular, but also adults more generally. Therapy services include the areas of anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, adjustment to life changes (e.g., retirement, grief, etc�), & family & caregiving-related concerns. With regard assessment, she primarily sees cases related to dementia & normal ageing, as well as in contexts such as brain injury, stroke, brain tumour, capacity assessment, medicolegal, ADHD, ASD, & changes in cognitive function related to chronic or acute medical conditions and/or developmental issues (e.g., intellectual impairment). Dr Mitchell works within a strengths-based framework designed to enable and encourage functioning at as high a level as possible in the individual's current context, therefore building on the individual's sense of self-efficacy and well-being.
