Helen Fitzhardinge is a registered Counselling Psychologist, with 25 years experience in counselling and psychotherapy.
Helen has extensive experience and training in couple and relationship issues, and enjoys working with the complexities of family relationships, both current and historic. Particular interests include infidelity, adjustment to parenthood, adoption across the lifespan, estrangements and other family disruptions.
Helen is interested in neurodiversity and the strengths and challenges it can bring, providing autism assessment for adults, and therapy and support to autistic adults, parents of autistic children, and neurodiverse couples.
In addition she sees clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions and addiction. She draws on family systems models, attachment theory, narrative therapy, trauma-informed ideas, CBT and ACT.
Helen provides clinical supervision to psychologists and counsellors.
