Gillian Marcoolyn has worked as a clinical psychologist for over 30 years. She has an Honours degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society. She has worked in community mental health, corrective services and in a large psychological firm providing psychological services to corporate organizations. She has also worked as a lecturer in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong.
Gillian sees both individuals and couples in her practice. She sees adolescents and adults. She uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in her work. ACT gets its name from one of its main principles: accept what is out of your personal control and commit to action that improves and enriches your life.
