I have a Master of Counselling and I have been a registered psychologist since 2004. I have over 20 years of experience in a variety of counselling settings including work with families, children and adolescents, university student/staff wellbeing services, primary and secondary school counselling, drug & alcohol and gambling services. I have also worked extensively providing psycho-legal assessments as a Single Expert Witness in the Children's Court and Family Law proceedings.
My particular areas of interest include: parenting support, adjustment to difficult life circumstances, emotion regulation, anxiety, depression, stress reduction techniques, interpersonal difficulties and addictive behaviours.
I have trained in the use of evidence-based practices, including, Cognitive- Behaviour Therapy (CBT), brief interpersonal psychotherapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), strengths-based approaches and motivational interviewing.
