Fiona is an experienced clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience in private practice working with individuals, couples and families presenting with a broad range of symptoms and concerns. She has completed a clinical doctorate and has previous experience in a range of public mental health settings.
Fiona strives to create a warm, non judgemental and comfortable relationship with her clients. She draws upon a range of therapeutic approaches to assist in the establishment of insight and the development of positive coping resources. These include CBT, ACT and trauma therapies including EMDR.
She has a particular interest in promoting clients understanding of the way that the brain and the body are involved in managing distress in order to establish a sense of agency for clients in harnessing brain plasticity and creating lasting change.
