John Bacash has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society for 29 years and a Fellow of the Counselling College of the APS.
John Bacash focuses on mindfulness techniques and approaches for decision-making and relationship issues, life direction, and crisis management, which evoke anxiety, depression and acute stress.
Mindfulness is about non-judgemental awareness of how a threat or opportunity affects us in the here and now, "in the moment". It delivers factual information about risk and opportunity, threat and safety. It is the doorway to risk assessment of our current opportunities or threats.
Mindfulness helps us to avoid being overwhelmed by the question: What am I supposed to do now?
Ultimately, the goal of therapy using this model is to live spontaneously and in the flow of our natural inclinations by adopting mindfulness, openness, and faith models.
