Sue began her working life as a high-school teacher, then a school counsellor and later a counselling psychologist at Macquarie University for 12 years. She has now been in private practice for 23 years. Sue likes to work in an egalitarian way with clients, using a multimodal approach which covers emotional, behavioural, physical, and cognitive perspectives. This multi-focus promotes both immediate and longer lasting change and is highly effective with issues such as depression and anxiety. Sue works with adults, adolescents, and couples. She also has a special interest in working with survivors of sexual abuse and trauma and with clients with dissociation. Sue is happy to work in an intensive way with any clients who would like to explore in depth the impact of adverse childhood experiences, trauma, and family dynamics.
