I have been a registered psychologist for more than 25 years and am a full member of the APS and Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree with first class honors in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland at the beginning of 1983. At this time, I was awarded a University medal for academic achievement. I then worked full time as a Clinical Psychologist at Royal Brisbane Hospital for four years, and Princess Alexandra Hospital for the following three years. In 1990, I left the public system to start a private part-time practice and a family. I completed level one training in EMDR in 1993 and was trained by Dr Francine Shapiro - the founder of EMDR. I completed my level two training in EMDR in 1996. I am also a qualified Internal Family Systems (IFS) practitioner. I have worked with clients with a broad range of backgrounds dealing with a wide variety of personal and relationship concerns.
