A member of both the Clinical and Health Colleges of the APS, Amanda has been in private practice for over 30 years. Her focus is on relationships - whether partner, parent, child, workplace, friend - as she believes that wellbeing is enhanced through supportive relationships. Her postgraduate research was in the area of chronic pain, and she supports wellbeing in both health and illness in those who consult her. Well-known in the media, she has a strategic and systemic approach to dealing with emotions, relationships and behaviours which most find very useful. Armchair Psychology Practice uses evidence-based practice, in a supportive environment. Amanda is a Past President of the APS, founder of National Psychology Week, and is a great communicator to those who consult her, so that they can take control of their lives and be more fulfilled in their relationships.
