"Understanding how people relate with: their partners; their peers (social or workplace) and their parents has guided my training and practice. A sense of personal/couple identity, emerging in family and career development, is at the core of my counselling with individuals, couples and groups". Initially a teacher, I re-trained as an applied psychologist, then worked as a university counsellor while undertaking post-graduate studies. Subsequently I lectured in counselling and social psychology in universities for 20 years. Across 30+ years, my professional interests merge career/rehabilitation counselling with couples counselling to form "couples careers counselling". This approach recognises the primary (marital/couples) relationships in promoting health/wellness & work performance. I collaborate with senior practitioners/academics in presenting at conferences and publishing on these professional practices. Art therapies, esp. therapeutic landscaping/horticulture are appreciated.
