APS FNQ Christmas End of Year Event

Overview

Trent Twomy is a passionate pharmacist with connections across the country and a vast array of experience. This talk will illustrate the importance of the bridge between psychology and pharmacology, and aims to inform the attendees of the latest prescribing trends with a psychological lens. 

"The Prescribing Pharmacist: A New Partner in Psychological and Mental Health Care" will discuss important topics relevant to both psychology and pharmacy in 2026. Not to be missed!

About the presenter(s)

Prof. Trent Twomey was elected as National President of The Pharmacy Guild of Australia in 2021. Trent has been involved with the Guild for over 15 years and was part of the successful negotiating team for the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Community Pharmacy Agreements. He is President of the World Pharmacy Council, Immediate Past Chairman of Advance Cairns and a Professor at James Cook University. Trent and his wife are both pharmacists and own a small group of pharmacies in North Queensland. Trent recently returned to study at James Cook University and has graduated as prescribing pharmacist
