Educational and Developmental Registrar Program Group Supervision (Wednesdays)

Overview

The CEDP are offering an opportunity for Educational and Developmental Psychology registrars to participate in group supervision led by experienced Educational and Developmental Psychologists.

Groups are capped at eight registrars. A minimum of six registrars are required for the groups to go ahead. In the event that a group books out, a waitlist will be opened, with an extra group added if there is sufficient demand.

Upon completion of this event, participants will have accrued 15 hours of group supervision for the endorsement program.

About the presenter(s)

Chris enjoys providing supervision to provisional, registrar, early-career psychologists and colleagues. She aims to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative space for reflective practice, where psychologists can build their confidence, enhance their clinical skills and knowledge, and work towards their professional competencies. Her supervision style is warm, practical, and strengths based, with a focus on fostering professional identity and clinical excellence. Chris has extensive experience working across a wide range of settings, including preschools, primary schools, high schools, private practice, health services, and universities. She has worked within independent, Catholic, and public education systems, providing her with a broad understanding of the diverse environments in which psychologists practise. She has also taught psychology and delivered seminars and training, including contributing to the Australian standardisation of key psychological assessments. Chris has a particular interest in psychological assessment, including cognitive, educational, and neurodevelopmental assessments. She has extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families, and has worked with a broad range of presentations including ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Depression, Learning Difficulties, Giftedness, Trauma, Emotional and Behavioural Challenges, Social Skills Development, and Family Adjustment. In addition to her clinical work, Chris is a registered supervisor, a full member of the APS and the College of Educational and Developmental Psychologists and has served on the NSW Executive of the College.

Target Audience

This event is aimed at Educational and Developmental Psychology registrars.
