Overview
Are you thinking about a career in Organisational Psychology but have a million questions? One of the greatest strengths but biggest challenges of organisational and business psychology is the breadth. So many options for the type of work we do and the industries we contribute to! So join us for this panel event to understand how people start the journey, what it is like to study Organisational Psychology and what you can do once you graduate and go on to work in the Organisational Psychology field.
This FREE webinar is designed for undergraduate and Hons Psych students and any individuals interesting in furthering their understanding of organisational and business psychology. You will hear about the experiences of people who work and study in the many different expertise areas across organisational and business psychology.
The members of the panel have all taken different pathways into business and org psych and will bring a wide range of experience to share with you. You will be invited to ask the panel your specific questions to deepen your understanding of the opportunities in organisational and business psychology and the contribution we can make to support healthy, productive workplaces and thriving employees.

About the presenter(s)
Drew Tatnell will lead the conversation and draw out all of the "must know" information from our panel. He is has recently completed the Registrar Program and so is now an Organisational Psychologist. He works in the psychometrics, leadership development, experience management, and career transition space. He completed his Masters of Organisational Psychology at UQ, and has a research background in personality psychology, psychometrics, and social cognition. He is interested in leadership, personnel selection, and wellbeing in organisations and is currently Principal Consulting Psychologist at REACH LX.
Dr. Jaime Auton is an organisational psychologist and human factors researcher with expertise in high-risk, high consequence environments. Her work focuses on individual differences in skill acquisition and performance. She has published in peer-reviewed journals, contributed to book chapters, and presented at national and international conferences. Jaime holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Sydney and completed a combined PhD/Master of Organisational Psychology, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship, at Macquarie University. She is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology at Adelaide University.
Liz O’Dell is a Senior Consultant with the Nous Group in Victoria. She completed her Masters in Org Psych at Deakin University and is currently completing her Registrar program. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based and human-centred solutions to complex business and people challenges and works with both private and public sector clients.
Amy Henderson is an Organisational Psychologist and approved Supervisor. She has a background in employee relations and organisational development, having worked extensively with small and large businesses to implement meaningful and evidence-based interventions. Amy works in both private practice in her local community and as a consultant to small and large businesses. Moreover, she is currently completing a PhD with the University of Queensland focussing on the return-to-work experiences of individuals affected by occupational lung diseases. Amy is strongly supportive of the psychological community, sitting on the APS Perth Branch Committee, the WACOP Committee, and the AUSIMM Southwest Branch Committee as the psychological representative. She embraces any opportunity to provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to early-career psychologists or org-curious professionals.
Josh O’Neill is an Aboriginal Registered Psychologist with over 8 years of experience working in both clinical and organisational settings. He completed his Masters of Organisational Psychology at UQ in 2024. He has expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and applied research at individual, group, and system levels. His passion lies in workplace wellbeing, organisational development, and creating systems-based solutions that foster positive change. He is particularly interested in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforces and helping mob thrive at work.
Dylan Littlehales is a first‑year Master of Organisational Psychology student at the University of Queensland and a three‑time Australian Paralympian, winning silver at the recent Paris Paralympics. He completed his undergraduate and honours training in psychology while balancing the demands of elite sport, with a thesis topic on aperiodic brain activity during a cognitive control task. Dylan is currently completing his placement with COP Queensland, working with Dr Tracy Martin on developing organisational psychology learning resources for the APS.
Burton O’Kane is a Master of Psychology (Organisational and Human Factors) student at Adelaide University. He is completing his studies through the Australian Army Civil Schooling Program and will serve as an Army psychologist following graduation. Burton has a background in organisational strategy and change management in the Australian Public Service and is particularly interested in how organisational psychology can support leadership, performance, and effective human-system design.
Teresa Chen is currently completing her Honours year in Psychology at the University of New South Wales. Through experience across a range of workplaces and industries, she has developed strong interpersonal skills and a keen interest in understanding human attitudes, behaviour and workplace dynamics. Alongside her studies, she has taken on leadership roles in student organisations, including running recruitment efforts within the UNSW Science Society.
We will also have a number of current students join us, including those completing their Masters program or contemplating Org Psych on completion of their Honours program.

Registration is free and includes access to the recording for 90 days.
Target Audience
This event is aimed at undergraduate Psych students and others that may be interested in understanding more about Organisational and Business psychology. Even current Masters students may learn a thing or two.
Please note:
- This is a Member Groups event. All communication will be sent to the registrants’ registered email address. This includes event reminders with details (such as the Zoom link) and any pre-event or post-event resources, if provided by the facilitators.
- A post-event email will be sent within two weeks of the event’s completion to each registrant’s registered email address. This email will include the CPD certificate, event-recording, and any additional resources shared during the session.
Duration of Access
This event will be recorded. The recording will be emailed to all registered within 2 weeks post event and available for viewing up to 90 days.
CPD
It is up to attendees to assess and determine how learning from this event aligns with the requirements of their learning plan. The providers accordingly do not make any representation that the event counts towards attendees’ CPD learning requirements. If an attendee determines themselves that the learning they complete aligns to their learning plan, then they can decide to count those hours towards their CPD requirements for the registration cycle.
