Workshop Event

Schema Therapy (Level 1) Practitioner Training "The Model, Methods, and Techniques" 3-Days

Overview

This workshop, accredited by the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST) as Level 1 foundational curriculum, is designed to help attendees gain a understanding of the Schema Therapy model and provide an extensive platform for learning new skills and techniques used in Schema Therapy. The workshop will address both the schema and mode models. The training is skills based, with multiple opportunities to learn complex techniques for working with difficult-to-treat clinical populations. The training will centre around Borderline Personality Disorder and it's treatment - and extended to other personality disorders (e.g. Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and other 'complex presentations' (e.g. chronic axis 1).

This workshop provides a great platform for learning and practicing skills in schema therapy delivery, as well as direct coaching of skills therapists often feel less confident in applying (e.g. chairwork; imagery rescripting) We aim to have 1 presenter for every 18 attendees, allowing participants to have optimum coaching, observation and adequate supervision of skills- places are limited. This training can be used towards individual certification as outlined by the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST)
