Leadership in Psychosocial Risk Management  Microcredential

Organiser Banner

Overview

New Micro-credential: As a psychologist, learn how Psychosocial Risk Management will impact your client and their world of work.

Psychosocial risk management is no longer optional — it’s now a legislative priority across Australia and internationally. This microcredential equips professionals at all career stages with the practical knowledge, frameworks, and an understanding of the legislation to address one of the most significant workplace changes of our time and impacts workplaces across Australia.

In a program that blends academic expertise with real-world insights, it will cover:

  • psychosocial hazards listed in the Safe Work Australia framework, critical in supporting psychologists in understanding the obligations on Employers and Workers under the Code of Practice to manage Psychosocial Hazards.

  • psychoeducation tools recommended by regulators and applied in businesses to recognise stress and early warning signs, and intervene effectively through the Look, Listen, Link process. You can then reinforce this within reporting and through Case Conferencing.
  • Knowledge of how to facilitate training around psychological flexibility to strengthen team resilience and adaptability.

  • Practical strategies for communicating with employers to manage high job demands, organisational change, and workplace conflict.

  • Insights into evolving workplace safety regulations and how to achieve alignment in your practice with what regulators will ask for in your reports (i.e. WorkSafe).

Through three interactive modules and case studies, you’ll explore the progression from healthy functioning to psychological injury, the impact of stress on individuals and teams, and how early intervention can prevent harm while supporting productivity.
