ACCREDITED GOTTMAN METHOD COUPLES THERAPY - Level 1 - Bridging the Couple Chasm

Overview

Learn from Advanced Gottman Clinical Trainers & Consultants - Trish Purnell-Webb & John Flanagan.

This is the first step in learning Gottman Method Therapy! A truly inspiring workshop, Level 1 training will give you new insight into couples’ struggles using research-based assessments and effective interventions.

As a result of taking this Training you, you will learn:

·      How couples really sustain their marriages–in contrast to common myths and misconceptions.

·      How the quality of relationships affects the immune system, physical health and well-being.

·      How marital problems change over time, but never go away–even in happy couples.

About the presenter(s)

Trish Purnell-Webb & John Flanagan - Advanced Gottman Clinical Trainers & Consultants – The Gottman Institute

With a proven track record of delivering over 200 professional training events worldwide. Their experience includes facilitating more than 50 Gottman Level 1, 50 Gottman Level 2, and 25 Gottman Level 3 workshops.

Trish is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with both couples and individuals. She specialises in supporting complex couples navigating trauma, mood disorders, personality vulnerabilities, anger management, affair recovery, and alcohol use. Alongside her clinical work, Trish is an experienced supervisor and assessor for the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA).

John brings extensive experience in working with couples, families, and young people, as well as in organisational development, keynote speaking, and professional training. For more than 15 years, he has facilitated psycho-education programs for Australian Veterans and their families, addressing trauma, depression, anxiety, and resilience. He also provides world-class therapy to couples across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

Together, they are dedicated to using sound, evidence-based approaches to help people build, repair, and revitalise strong, lasting relationships. They are equally committed to training and mentoring relationship therapists across Australia, NZ and Asia. As published authors and sought-after speakers, they are frequently featured in print media, podcasts, and keynote presentations.
