Webinar (Live) Event

Gender Affirming Care for Neuropsychologists: supporting our trans and/or gender diverse clients

Overview

The Victorian CCN Committee are pleased to host our second webinar of the year.

This event will provide a introduction to and overview of gender-affirming care for psychological practice.

The session will explore key concepts related to gender diversity, the impact of minority stress on mental health, and common barriers faced by trans and gender-diverse individuals in accessing affirming care. Drawing on current research, clinical experience, and best-practice guidelines, the presenters will offer practical strategies to support inclusive, respectful, and evidence-based care for gender diverse clients.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this event, participants should be able to:

  • develop awareness on the foundations of gender affirming care for neuropsychologists;
  • build clinical competence for neuropsychologists when working with gender diverse clients
  • develop strategies promoting affirming practice for gender-diverse clients
